Two months

I can't believe my baby is two months old today. Where does the time go? He has changed and grown so much in two months. Sometimes I look at him and I just can't believe he's really mine! I keep expecting to wake up from a dream...I absolutely love being a mom and am loving each different stage of his life!

We have his two month well baby visit on Tuesday so I will post his stats then- not looking forward to the shots! Jack is starting to become a really good sleeper. Up until about 7 weeks he was eating every 2 hours during the day and getting up every 1.5 hours at night. Then all of a sudden last week he started sleeping a 6 hour stretch and then two 2-3 hour stretches- only waking to eat twice. It's amazing! He goes down about 7pm and eats about 1 and 4 and then is up for the day between 6 and 7. It did take me a few days to figure out that he'd made 7pm his bedtime- up from 11 pm. I finally realized that at that time of night, sleeping 6 hours wasn't a nap, it's bedtime! So now I start his bedtime routine at 6:30 and he'd down by 8:00 at the latest. He also naps really well during the day now.

Jack is starting to smile a lot and it's so fun! He just looks at me with this big grin and it melts my heart.
He is also reacting to sounds and turning towards voices- I think the only ones he really recognizes are me and Jeff. His new thing is holding on to something- whatever he can reach. He'll clutch a burp cloth, my shirt, the toys that hang from his chair, etc. It won't be too long until he starts reaching for them!
