Where does the time go?

I was looking at this picture tonight which Jeff took this afternoon

And wondering where this guy went

I cannot believe that in just over 2 months, my baby boy is going to be TWO YEARS OLD!
I was just discussing with some friends earlier how some people think infancy is easier than toddlerhood. With toddler hood comes the tantrums, the whining, the desire for independence....but I honestly have to say that it is so much easier than infancy!

Of course, it absolutely has to do with the fact that Jack was colicky and had reflux. Oh, and did I mention the fact that he never slept longer than 2 hours until he was 13 months old? He didn't nap without being driven in the car until he was 16 months old and didn't sleep through the night until he was 15 months old.

I'm also now nearly 2 years into the whole mom thing. I'm more relaxed, I feel like I know who I am as a mother, how I want to parent my child, and I don't take crap from anyone for the choices I make.

Some of the things I love about Jack:

- His love for his Batman crocs- or "me mans" as he calls them.
- The way he gets so excited when we let him watch Yo Gabba Gabba- affectionately known as "Wabba" in this house.
- He is so curious and will climb on anything and everything
- He is so independent and wants to try everything on his own
- This child lives for the outdoors.
- The simple things that bring him so.much.joy. Like a bus driving down the street. "BUUSSS!!!! Oh wow!!!"
- The way he says, "yes." I really need to get it on tape because you will die from cuteness.

Jackisims:

Also, watching these two together totally melts my heart. I am so luck to have the perfect partner to raise Jack with. I'm so thankful he has such a caring, loving, supportive, and fun Daddy.
