Another birthday has come and gone! This year I turned 28 and had one of the best birthdays ever. On the Wednesday before my birthday, we all went to my parents house for tacos (a family favorite). I got the requisite birthday boysenberry pie in lieu of cake courtesy of my wonderful mother in law. I guess someone forgot to buy candles so a very resourceful Kathy stuck a giant purple taper in the middle of the pie. Hey, it worked!
On my actual birthday, my mom and I went out to lunch, followed by shopping and pedicures. When we got to the nail salon it was pretty busy so they sat us across the room from each other rather than next to each other like usual. So what did we do? We text messaged each other, of course! It was fun. Later that night a group of my co-workers took me out for dinner at Joe's Crab Shack.
All in all, I think it was one of the best birthdays ever!
