Here is a picture of the beautiful baby girl at the center of this heartbreaking story-this picture is posted with the permission of her father Philip.THANK YOU to everyone who has opened their hearts to Jewelyn and her family. Donations to the Jewelyn Okamoto Memorial fund are pouring in and though I don't want to share the amount, quite a bit of money has been raised. This will greatly help her husband Philip and daughter Gabrielle. I am amazing at the outpouring of love and support from across the country. Diaper coupons, formula coupons, gift cards and checks are pouring in and I know Philip is so grateful.
Thank you to Kim, Irma, Angie and everyone else involved in setting up the P.O. box, memorial fund and paypal accounts and maintaining the donations being received. Gabrielle is still at UCLA medical center under observation. She has been experiencing seizures likely due to lack of oxygen. According to doctors they won't know the full extent for a few months until her motor skills start to develop. Although they do say that babies are resilient and have the ability to heal.
Keep praying for Gabrielle and Philip!

Thanks. Plenty of mail is being received so I believe I have the correct address listed. Perhaps like some cities there are multiple zip codes?
