How cute are they?
We saw Holly (the Physician's assistant we take Jack to) today for Jack's 4 month appointment. He weighed in at 17 pounds and is currently 26 inches- 90% percentile for both. Apparently he has a small head though- it's in the 25% percentile (forget the numbers). Holly had Dr. Rhodes come in and double check him because his fontinel (soft spot) is so small. He has consistently been in the 25% percentile for head circumference so they are not worried, but they do want to keep an eye on it to make sure his brain has enough room to grow.
Since Jack is still having some tummy troubles, we are being referred to a pediatrician. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with him, but it's always concerned me and Holly knows that. So she asked me if I would feel better having him checked out. I love that she feels confident that he is just fine, but knows that it would give me piece of mind to have him looked at. It makes me feel like we are in good hands!
Dr. Rhodes was talking to us about the colic and I asked when it would go away (I had thought it was 3 months) and he laughed and said he's pretty sure his 19 year old is still colicky. Great, that gives me hope! He had three shots and one oral vaccine today. There were multiple vaccines combined in the shots but I can't remember all of them!
