31 weeks

b
Only 9 weeks (give or take) until Jack's arrival...does that seem way too soon to anyone else??

Mommy is feeling very tired these days..aches and pains are starting to appear (and trust me- some you do NOT want to know about! If you don't believe me, Google SPD. Future moms- you'll thank me later) and I have heartburn 24/7. I am proud to say though that I have only gained 18 pounds and have no stretch marks!!

Difficulty sleeping has set in. I can only sleep on my left side but of course that makes my hip fall asleep. So my nights go a little something like this: fall asleep on left side amidst a mound of pillows. Wake up because hip is aching and numb- roll onto right side. Remember that right side causes pain (residual gallbladder) and roll back onto left. Wake up because hip is aching and numb- roll onto right side. Remember that right side causes pain and roll back onto left. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Fun times.

I think we're pretty ready for our Little Monkey to arrive. His furniture has been set up for quite awhile and Grandma is working on his bedding. I still need a lamp and bookshelf but I think I've narrowed my options down to which ones I want to get. As soon as we pull it all together I'll post pictures.

Last weekend was the first of my two baby showers (I know, how blessed are we??). Jack made out like a bandit. I have been working on getting his dresser/clothes/accoutrement organized. This little guy has SO much stuff! I look at it all and it brings tears to my eyes- it just shows how loved our Monkey is already. The shower was amazing and my sisters did an awesome job! Everyone had so much fun.

Here are a few pictures from the baby shower.

Oh- and for those that have been concerned about Jeff: He is doing fine since his kidney stone episode! He followed up with our family doctor and his blood work and urine sample came back great. They were not caused by too much uric acid which is a good thing. It means that even though there is a high chance for him to have more kidney stones- he shouldn't worry about it. I like to think it was God having a sense of humor- letting Jeff experience just a smidgen of what I have been through between morning sickness, gallstones and eventually labor! ;)
